Application Procedures
for International Student
You can send your application directly to WIE by
following the steps below.

personal details and what course you want to study.

There are two ways you can complete our enrolment form

Students in Waikato Institute of Education
-
Once your application is received, it will processed and yYou will be
notified if your application has been successful. Once your
acceptance is confirmed you will receive the following:
-
An
invoice for the fees payable
-
An
Offer of Place quoting fees and confirming the dates of your
course
-
A
accommodation
guarantee that accommodation will be arranged
-
A
request that you write back by a stated date, accepting the
offer
You
will also be asked to pay the annual programme fee (or full fee on a
shorter programme), together with an accommodation placement fee if
required.

If
you are planning to study for more than three months you will need
to apply for a
student visa through your local New Zealand
Immigration Service office or New Zealand Embassy/Consulate. You
will need the “Offer of Placement” letter we sent you to apply
for the student visa. Before a visa can be issued you will need to
pay course fees, accommodation fees and provide evidence of having
sufficient funds available for general living expenses in New
Zealand.
Citizens from many countries do not need a visa to enter New
Zealand. These include European Union countries; Japan, South Korea
and Hong Kong; Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Chile; Saudi Arabia and
UAE. See

Write
to WIE
saying that you accept the offer, enclosing the necessary fees. When
we receive payment, we will then send you
a receipt and arrange your accommodation.
Your fees must be paid to
your Authorised Agent or into our Student Fees Trust Account.
Payment may be made by Bank Transfer, Bank Draft or Bank

Homestay and Airport
Pickup Services
If you wish to use
WIE’s Homestay service, you are advised to
apply at least 4 weeks before your intended arrival in New Zealand, to
allow us adequate time to find the most suitable accommodation for you.
Provide WIE with your flight details (flight number, date and time of
arrival) 2 weeks before you arrive in New Zealand.
We will aim to confirm your Homestay details (and Airport Pickup if
requested) 2 weeks before you arrive in
New Zealand.
